Racing is a dangerous sport, and we take our role in that seriously. Nothing makes us more proud than to think of all the racers who have come home safe to their families because of Stroud Safety products. Owned and operated by pro-mod drag racer Tommy Cunningham, we are truly “Designed by Racers for Racers”. We are here to support, prepare, and properly equip racers from all over the world.
In 2019 Pro Drag Racer Tommy Cunningham purchased Stroud Safety. Tommy has been drag racing since he was a kid. He and his father before him were both big believers in Stroud products. He believed in them so much that he bought the business. Not much has changed with Tommy on board. He is continuing the same commitment to excellence that has always been there. As Tommy says, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
Located in Oklahoma City, OK, Stroud products have been 100% made in the USA for over 35 years. Founded by Bob Stroud, the company has always had a reputation for high quality, attention to detail, and innovativeness. Stroud holds multiple patents on the materials and manufacturing processes it uses. Because of that, you can only find our level of quality in Stroud products.
Here at Stroud we structure our business to adhere to our eight core values.
1. FAMILY AND FRIENDS –
We are family owned, family operated, and family oriented. We deeply value the personal connections that support this company. Without them, there is no Stroud.
2. SAFETY FIRST –
We design and manufacture every product to first be safe. We do not cut corners or skimp.
3. EMBRACE CHANGE –
We are open and flexible! If you see a way we can improve, always tell us. At Stroud we are always looking to improve our products or company.
4. PASSION –
The day we stop losing sleep over whether every racer has the proper safety equipment is the day we will lock our doors. This passion is the backbone of the company.
5. EDUCATION –
We want every driver to know exactly what they need, exactly how to properly install it, and precisely how it works. We believe in empowering drivers and crew members with accurate information.
6. FIRST TIME RIGHT –
As the old saying goes “measure twice, cut once”. We minimize the number of persons handling your order with a direct line between sales and manufacturing. We aim to get accurate information from our customers and communicate that information accurately to our staff to ensure your product is right the first time, every time.
7 KEEP PROMISES –
If we tell you we will do it, then we will do it. Bank on it.
8. MADE IN THE USA –
Our chutes, suits, belts, blankets, nets, and fire suppression systems are 100% made in the USA. We could not be more proud of that fact. We have manufacturing locations in Kentucky and Oklahoma, where we take raw materials and turn them into safety products.
